What this tool does

Breaks one PDF into several files. Either every page becomes its own file, or you write your own ranges — each comma-separated part turns into a separate document. If you would rather not type, clicking a page thumbnail sets a cut point instead.

How to use it

  1. Drop the PDF.
  2. Choose one file per page, or custom ranges.
  3. For ranges, type something like 1-3, 5, 8- or click the page where a new file should start.
  4. Download the files one at a time, or all of them as a zip.

Common questions

How are the output files named?
The source name with a number appended: report.pdf becomes report-1.pdf, report-2.pdf, and so on.
Can a page end up in two files?
Yes. Overlapping ranges are allowed, and such a page appears in both files.
Can I tell how many files I will get?
The count sits under the page thumbnails and updates as you change the ranges.
